Such problem occurs when password for *admin* in Plesk does not match the one set in MySQL.
You can fix it yourself using the following instructions.
First of all, you must know you current Plesk password. If you have forgotten it for some reason then the password can be taken using %plesk_bin%\plesksrvclient.exe -get
Then, you should set it up within Plesk MySQL. To do it, please, follow the steps:
1. Edit MySQL configuration file my.ini located within %plesk_dir%\mysql\data\.
2. Add parameter skip_grant_tables=1 into the [PleskSQLServer] section.
3. Restart service Plesk SQL Server.
4. Log into Plesk MySQL.
%plesk_dir%\mysql\bin\mysql.exe -P8306 mysql
5. Execute the following query:
mysql> update mysql.user set password=password('current_password') where user='admin';
6. Remove skip_grant_tables=1 from within the [PleskSQLServer] section within %plesk_dir%\mysql\data\my.ini
7. Restart service Plesk SQL Server.
A new password has to be applied.
Note: my.ini for MySQL on Plesk 7.0 is located in %SystemRoot% (usually it points to c:\windows\)
Even though I only have a shared hosting plan, their technical support team responded to my tech support request within the hour, and correctly to boot. (I needed to have a subdomain point to a Tumblr blog by changing the CNAME.)
AYKsolutions - best solution for small/high business I have several plans with them and i can sleep well because their team watch over my servers. I started with a small shared account and now, after two years i have multiple dedicated boxes. I like the way they treat their customers, even if they have a small or a big plan. Their tehnical support is the best i ever meet ( worked with many hosting pro viders ). In one word: If you need cheap and no headache for your internet bussiness, AYKsolutions it's your best choice
Great response time and excellent service. I've been with AYK for nearly a year now and I couldn't be happier. If you're ready to make the step up from budget hosting to someone that can still work with you to spec out a server for your needs at an extremely competitive price, shoot these guys an email and see what they have available. You will not regret it. With datacenters located all ove r the globe they're certain to have something for you.. or they'll just build it
