If you have transferred your domain or simply updated the nameservers with your registrar, you can easily check to see if the DNS has already propogated and is pointing to our servers.
To do this, follow these steps:
- On your Windows desktop, click on the Start button.
- Choose the 'Run' command from the menu.
- Once a new window appears (black background usually), type in 'ping www.yourdomain.com'
Once you hit the Enter key, it will show the IP address your domain name is still pointing to. Compare this IP with yours, which was provided to you upon signup. If they are the same, then your domain name has propogated and is now on our servers.
You can also use DNSstuff.com to lookup your domain by putting it into the "Ping" text field.
Prompt support, on New Years Eve of all days. Fixed issue within 10 minutes of submitting.
Even though I only have a shared hosting plan, their technical support team responded to my tech support request within the hour, and correctly to boot. (I needed to have a subdomain point to a Tumblr blog by changing the CNAME.)
